It is important to know the laws on the importation of game animals in to the state of Kentucky. Regulation 301 KAR 2:095 states that a person cannot import or possess a whole cervid carcass or carcass part from a CWD infected state unless quarters or other portions of meat have no part of the spinal column or head attached or the meat has been boned out.
The following inedible parts of a cervid from an infected state are allowed: antlers, antlers CWD INFECTED STATES AND PROVINCES: Colorado, Illinois, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, New York, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Utah, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming, Alberta, and Saskatchewan.
